The City of Bowling Green, Ohio recognizes the moral and economic importance of building a more welcoming community for all. Welcoming people of diverse backgrounds, including immigrants, refugees and new Americans, builds a healthy and vibrant community.

Welcome BG continues to:

-build on current initiatives and efforts and identify new initiatives that will assist in further developing Bowling Green as a welcoming, safe and inclusive community;

-attract, support and retain diverse workforce;

-engage business leaders to hire more international talent;

-support new comers, including international students, immigrants, refugees and new Americans for earlier and deeper integration into the Bowling Green community;

-leverage data and new best practice research for regional growth;

-encourage residents to promote Welcome BG.

Welcoming diverse populations into our community is certainly a matter of human rights and a way of preserving our historic traditions as an immigrant country.
